Who we are
The Music Partnership is a young, dynamic and innovative music company that provides outstanding resources to school band and instrumental programs in the Sydney metropolitan area.
The Music Partnership was established in 2005 by Sydney-based musician, Alexandra Bieri. Her passion for music and music education inspired her to launch The Music Partnership. Her hope is to provide outstanding music education and resources for New South Wales’ public and independent schools, and to help create young musicians of the future.
The Music Partnership is a boutique and independently owned company with an established reputation for providing music programs and staff of the highest quality and integrity.
We currently operate band and string programs in over 15 different schools around the Sydney metropolitan area.
Our vision
Our goal is to encourage, inspire and nurture the young musicians within our school programs. We strive to create programs that lead the way in music education in Australia. And our aim is to innovate and make learning music fun!
We pride ourselves on our personalised customer service and an unwavering focus and attention to the needs of our schools and clients.
Our services
Band Programs: The Music Partnership manages and establishes band and string programs within schools around Sydney.
Band is open to all children in Years 2-6, and String Ensemble is open to children in Years K-6 at our primary school programs.
Students can choose to play any woodwind, brass or percussion instrument within our bands. We also offer bass guitar. Our strings programs include violin, viola, cello and double bass.
Band and ensemble rehearsals run on school premises before, during and after school hours.

Music Lessons: The Music Partnership can provide individual and group instrumental lessons on all concert band and stringed instruments.
We offer a range of music lessons that cater for all budgets. The Music Partnership works with only the very best tutors from our ever-expanding database of musicians.
Tutors come directly to schools to work with our young musicians. Whilst it is a requirement that students who join band need to be having a private music lesson, students can also just sign up for music lessons without being part of the school’s band program.

Our music tutors and conductors are graduates of Australia’s finest tertiary institutions and are passionate about their music!
Most are studying or have graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Many have also studied at prestigious international schools.
They perform as classical artists at the Sydney Opera House or in local jazz groups and other contemporary ensembles.
