Euphonium
The euphonium is a brass instrument known for its warm, rich, and mellow tone. Slightly smaller than a tuba, it plays an important role in concert bands, brass bands, and wind ensembles by providing smooth, expressive melodies and strong harmonic support. Its versatile sound makes it equally suited to lyrical solos and powerful ensemble playing.

What type of euphonium does my child need?
Most beginners start on a Bb 3-valve euphonium, which is lighter, easier to play, and ideal for younger students. As they progress, they may move to a 4-valve compensating Bb euphonium, which offers a greater range and improved tuning.
