At Lewisham PS, the Music Partnership runs 2 concert bands.

Training band: For students in years 2 and above that are new to learning an instrument. This is a band for complete beginners

Senior band: For students in year 3 and above that have been playing for more than 1 years and are wanting to be extended in their band experience.

BAND REHEARSAL TIMES

Training band: Wednesday 7.45am-8.45am in the Arts Unit band space with Mr Tom Andrews.

Senior band: Tuesday 7.45am-8.45am in the Arts Unit band space with Mr Alex Maltas.

FEES

Band is $20+GST per weekly 1 hour session. You will receive an invoice each term for your band fees.

This includes music for the band rehearsals and one performance per term.

The Lewisham School band performs regularly at:

School assemblies and School events.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS

At Lewisham PS we offer private music lessons on all woodwind and brass instruments. We also offer lessons on drums.

Lessons run between 7.30am-9am and 3.05pm-5.35pm Monday to Friday at school in classrooms and the Arts Unit Studios. 

Lessons are 30 minutes long and are one on one with our specialist tutors.

To be in band students need to be having a private lesson either at school or with an external tutor.

FEES

Private music lessons are

$50+GST per half hour one on one lesson.

$35+GST per half hour paired lesson subject to availability.

$25+GST per half hour trio lesson subject to availability.

An invoice for lessons will be emailed to you at the beginning of each term. Payment can be made by clicking the “Pay Now” button on the invoice or by direct deposit into our bank account. Direct deposit is a fee-free payment option.
