At Randwick PS, the Music Partnership runs a dynamic concert band program and an emerging string program. The groups we offer at Randwick PS:

Training band: For students in years 3 and above that are new to learning an instrument. This is a band for complete beginners. Year 2 is also welcome to apply. 

Senior band: For students in year 3 and above that have been playing for more than 1 years and are wanting to be extended in their band experience.

BAND REHEARSAL TIMES

Training band: Tuesday 7.30am-8.45am in the school hall with Mr Alec Watts

Senior/Performance band: Tuesday 3.15pm-4.15pm and Thursday 7.30am-8.45am in the school hall with Ms Megan Lipworth.

Beginner strings: Tuesday 7.45am-8.45am in the AMS studios with Mr Kineth Ekanayake.

Senior strings: Monday 7.45am-8.45am in the school hall with Mr Kineth Ekanayake.

FEES

Band is $18+GST per weekly 1 hour session. You will receive an invoice each term for your band fees.

This includes music for the band rehearsals and one performance per term.

PERFORMANCES

The Randwick band and strings perform regularly at:

School assemblies, School events, NSW band festival,  The Big Band Bash and TMP evening concerts.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS

At Randwick PS we offer private music lessons on all woodwind and brass instruments. Also guitar, piano and drums. We also offer lessons on all string instruments. 

Lessons run between during class time between 8.30am-3pm in the AMS studios. Lessons run on a rotational timetable so students do not miss the same class time each week.

Lessons are 30 minutes long and are one on one with our specialist tutors.

FEES

Private music lessons are

$50+GST per half hour one on one lesson.

$35+GST per half hour paired lesson.

An invoice for lessons will be emailed to you at the beginning of each term. Payment can be made by clicking the “Pay Now” button on the invoice or by direct deposit into our bank account. Direct deposit is a fee-free payment option.
