At Stanmore PS, the Music Partnership run 3 concert bands.

Training band: For students in years 2 and above that are new to learning an instrument. This is a band for complete beginners

Intermediate band: For students in years 3 and above that have completed one year of training band

Senior band: For students in year 4 and above that have been playing for more than 2 years and are wanting to be extended in their band experience.

BAND REHEARSAL TIMES

Training band: Wednesday 7.45am-8.45am in the school hall with Mr Alec Watts

Intermediate band: Thursday 7.45am-8.45am in the school hall with Mr Joel Agius

Senior band: Friday 7.45am-8.45am in the school hall with Ms Alex Bieri

FEES

Band is $20+GST per weekly 1 hour session. You will receive an invoice each term for your band fees.

This includes music for the band rehearsals and one performance per term.

PERFORMANCES

The Stanmore band perform regularly at:

School assemblies, School events, NSW band festival, Inner West band festival, The Big Band Bash, Stanmore Music Festival and our huge Stanmore end of year
performing arts concert.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS

At stanmore PS we offer private music lessons on all woodwind and brass instruments. Also guitar, piano and drums.

Lessons run between 3.05pm-5.35pm Monday to Friday at school in classrooms.

Lessons are 30 minutes long and are one on one with our specialist tutors.

FEES

Private music lessons are

$50+GST per half hour one on one lesson.

$35+GST per half hour paired lesson subject to availability.

An invoice for lessons will be emailed to you at the beginning of each term. Payment can be made by clicking the “Pay Now” button on the invoice or by direct deposit into our bank account. Direct deposit is a fee-free payment option.
